The first international conference “Metal Forming Technology Day”, meftech was held in Bursa, Turkey on May 12^th, 2017. The main goal of this event was to create a powerful platform where the experts from academia and industry could share ideas and discuss the current and future innovations in the sheet metal forming technology.

During this one-day event, experts from universities and industrial companies presented their latest research and developments. Since automotive emission regulations are one of the most important issues of metal forming industry in the last few years, most of our discussions in this year’s event was focused on automotive lightweighting. Our presenters also covered material characterization and press shop automation systems.
